Dedication in service that is built on partnership…
For a combined 80 years, Namaqua Center and Larimer Center for Mental Health (LCMH) have played a vital role in the Northern Colorado community with an unwavering commitment to providing therapy and counseling services to those who need them most, and are now partnering to enhance their ability to restore hope, health, and confidence in those they serve.
Both 501(c)(3) organizations, we serve as primary referral resources for social services agencies. Namaqua Center specializes in treating children ages three through twelve who have suffered severe trauma as a result of neglect and abuse, while LCMH provides affordable, compassionate behavioral healthcare to clients of all ages who would otherwise not be able to afford the treatment that they need and deserve.
Namaqua Center and Larimer Center for Mental Health (LCMH) have embarked on an operating partnership that will enhance the ability of both non-profit organizations to provide responsive mental health treatment services and family and community education. Now a division under the Larimer Center for Mental Health, Namaqua Center of Loveland will continue normal operations as a provider of intensive treatment for children and families.
Founded in 1976, Namaqua Center specializes in treating children ages three through twelve who have suffered severe trauma as a result of neglect and abuse, while LCMH provides affordable, compassionate mental health services to northern Colorado clients of all ages. "For a combined 80 years, Namaqua Center and LCMH have played a vital role in Colorado's communities through an unwavering commitment to providing accessible and comprehensive services to those who need them most. This partnership enhances the ability of both of our organizations to provide high quality mental health treatment, education and supportive services to children, youth and adults requiring behavioral health treatment," said LCMH Executive Director, Randy Ratliff and Namaqua Center Director, Cyndi Dodds in a joint statement announcing the partnership.
Namaqua Center will continue to operate in its current locations and will maintain its current scope of residential, day-treatment and community outreach services, consistent with its mission of providing psychological treatment to children with emotional and behavioral disorders resulting from extreme neglect and abuse. The leadership teams of both organizations will remain in place, with Dodds joining the executive management team of LCMH, which will serve as an administrative and human resources umbrella to Namaqua Center.
The partnership was conceived as a mutually-beneficial strategic move for both LCMH and Namaqua Center. Both mental health services organizations rely on contributions by individuals and planned giving organizations, and the creation of a shared administrative body will help both entities operate more efficiently and meet increasing public demand for affordable mental healthcare services.
