Who We Serve

Because no child should live in fear…

Namaqua Center serves children ages three through twelve who have been victimized by neglect and physical/sexual abuse, providing comprehensive psychiatric and counseling services with a high degree of effectiveness in helping children to overcome severe attachment, trauma and sexual reactivity issues. Utilizing a Family Centered Practice model, Namaqua Center actively involves families and foster caregivers in education and counseling to break the cycle of neglect and abuse.

Serving Larimer County and Beyond…

For over thirty years, Namaqua Center has been a primary referral choice for County Department’s of  Human Services/Social Services across the state for children who have been victimized by abuse. Namaqua Center provides an invaluable service to children victimized by trauma and to our communities through family counseling and education to break the cycle of child neglect and abuse.
Services

Because the strength and safety of children is everyone’s business …

  • Namaqua Center provides direct services in the following areas: Namaqua Center offers professionally licensed programs ranging from 24-hour residential care treatment homes to day treatment to family behavioral coaching and aftercare, with specific criteria designed to ensure the alignment of services with individual child and family needs.
  • Namaqua Center employs highly committed, outcome-driven therapists, counselors and teachers who are dedicated to working with each child and family on an individualized, personal level in order to maximize healing through a Brain-based therapy environment.
  • Namaqua Center operates a state-certified school on-site that delivers standards-driven education and special education programming within a full-time therapeutic environment focused on providing children with the academic and socialization services they need to eventually return to a mainstream classroom.
  • Namaqua Center utilizes Brain-based Therapy interventions integrating research-driven approaches and extensive contact to help children and families overcome trauma, regain trust and achieve lasting improvements in quality of life.
  • Namaqua Center excels in helping children who have previously experienced a large number of failed foster family placements, with 96% of children remaining in their post-discharge placement for longer than three months.
  • Namaqua Center helps to prevent future child neglect and abuse incidents through family education including the ground-breaking Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program and our Respite program for foster and kin parents.

at Lifespring Covenant Church,

Fort Collins Support Group
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month
from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
at Summitview Community Church
1601 W. Drake

Daycare provided at both groups.
